New multi-temperature refrigeration complex will run on carbon dioxide

The first multi-temperature refrigeration complex using CO2 refrigerant will appear near Vladivostok. The project is being implemented by the Delta-Service company, reports Megafishnet.com.

According to Fishnews, the construction of the complex is being carried out on a plot of 14 hectares near Artem, a satellite city of Vladivostok. The company is a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok.

To date, a 2000-ton cold store and a dry warehouse equipped with banana ripening chambers are already functioning on the territory.

The central object of the construction is a multi-temperature refrigeration complex with a dedicated inspection area. The capacity is up to 8,000 tons at any one time. Carbon dioxide (CO2) will be used as a refrigerant in the facility. Modern technologies will ensure compliance with the temperature regime for simultaneous storage in chambers of various types of products: from seafood to fruits and vegetables in the temperature range of +15...-30°C.

The commissioning of the new coldstore is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022, or perhaps earlier judging by the rate of construction progress.

The complex is located near the federal highway with a convenient access for heavy-duty vehicles. There is also a private railway line on the territory with a link to the Artem-1 railway station.

By the end of 2021, an administrative complex will start operating on the territory, where the offices of the company's divisions, meeting rooms, a canteen for employees and other necessary infrastructure will be located.

Already today, the current resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok carries out wholesale and retail deliveries of meat, fish, seafood, chicken eggs and fruits in the Primorsky Territory and other regions of the Russian Far East working directly with the manufacturers. As the company develops, it plans to offer 3PL, 4PL logistics services ranging from delivery and address storage to order management and tracking the movement of goods.

The company plans to get all the necessary approval numbers to work for Europe and the Asia-Pacific countries.
