New 12KT coldstore to reduce storage capacity shortage in Russian Far East
The Open Bunkering Base of the Fishing Fleet LLC (a subsidiary of PJSC NBAMR) has commissioned a modern cold storage complex with a block of administrative and household premises in the city of Nakhodka, Primorsky Krai province, reports Megafishnet.com.
According to the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the company is a resident of the free port of Vladivostok and it provides services for the storage of crab, shrimp and fish. The cold store with a capacity of 12 thousand metric tons at any one time is on the market at the right moment to receive the fish from the salmon and pollock seasons.
In addition to storing seafood, the new warehouse complex provides services for the acceptance, unloading, processing and shipment of goods. It will be able to receive up to 100,000 tons of products annually.
In the future, the project will grow into a powerful logistics hub providing a range of services for the processing of refrigerated containers. There are also plans for the construction of a fish processing plant and a free customs zone. To do this, a customs control zone will be set up at the site.
