Kaliningrad shipyard ready to start construction of Russia’s largest trawler
On 26 August, 2019 Kaliningrad-based Yantar shipyard will begin construction of Russia’s biggest supertrawler.
More specifically, BMRT Viktor Gavrilov will be 121 meters long and will have a draught of ca.13,000 metric tons. The ship's design No. 5670WSD has been provided by the naval architects from Wärtsilä East.
Along with laying the keel for the supertrawler Yantar will be handing over Leninets trawler seiner (project No.SK-3101R) to the both vessels’ orderer Lenina fishing co-op based in Petropavlosk-Kamchatskiy.
