The annual report illustrates all the activities undertaken by the CFCA during the past year. The Board also discussed the multi-annual work programme for 2012-2016 as well as the annual work programme and draft budget of €9,310,000 for 2012. Among the activities of 2010, the CFCA notably carried out four joint deployment plans (in the North Sea and Western Waters, Baltic Sea, NAFO and NEAFC waters, and Bluefin Tuna in the Mediterranean and Eastern Atlantic). More than 7000 inspections were coordinated in the framework of these four plans. Joint deployment plans aim at pooling together the control and inspection means of member states to increase the efficiency and uniformity of controls in EU fisheries to enhance the respect of the rules of the EU's Common Fisheries Policy.
