Catch results in Russia's Far East in January-April 2010

In the four months of the current year 2010 the total harvest in the Russian Far East amounted to 1,028,700 metric tons, 186 tonnes up on the respective result of 2009, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/) with reference to fishery source in Vladivostok.

Among main commercial species the catch rises were recorded for pollock (+207,700 tonnes), Atka mackerel (+5000 tonnes), cod (+2200 tonnes), wachna cod (+2400 tonnes) and halibut (+800 tonnes). The Basin's fishermen reported larger catches of longfin codling (+2400 tonnes), flounder (+1650 tonnes), grenadier (+1500 tonnes) and all crab species (nearly +1000 tonnes).
