Asia Regional Ministerial Meeting on Aquaculture Food Security, Nutrition and Economic Development
For the first time ever a meeting of Honourable Ministers from the Asian region, with purview for fisheries in their portfolios, will convene in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 28-29 July 2011. The idea of convening ministerial meeting has been mooted around for a while, but a firm decision was arrived at the 22nd Governing Council Meeting in 2010, which was transmitted to the FAO for concurrence.
