Latvian sturgeon farmer Mottra planning big investments to boost production output

Latvian sturgeon farmer Mottra is planning to invest one million Euro to expand its production basins by 50%, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/.

The farm has been engaged in production of black caviar since 2008. The deli's price on the Latvian market amounts to ca.Lat1,500 (Euro2,125) per kilo and the producer focuses mostly export shipments.

Last year Mottra produced about one metric ton of sturgeon caviar. The company says the product is of very high quality as it does not contain any preservatives, it is made from fish eating ecologically pure feed and living in the water from deep well.
