AKVA group ASA to deliver another complete cage farm to Russian Fish-Aquaculture

Norwegian AKVA group ASA New has signed a contract with Russian Sea-Aquaculture LLC for a complete AKVA Cage Farm to be installed in the Murmansk region, reports www.megafishnet.com.

This is the second contract for delivery of a complete cage farm between AKVA group ASA and Russian Sea Aquaculture signed in 2012. The contract total value stands at 27.2 MNOK and is to be delivered in Q1 and Q2 2013.

Russian Sea-Aquaculture produced about 1321 tonnes of rainbow trout in freshwater in Karelia last year and it has 29 sites in the Barents Sea, White Sea and Karelia with potential to grow some 70 000 metric tons of salmon and trout (roughly 50% of the current Russian market for these species.
